Hello! My name is Shannon. I am a sweet but timid gal and would love to find a new forever family that will shower me with lots of yummy treats! I came to the shelter because I didn`t get along with the animals on the farm very well, I realized I don`t like cats and I became selective over my dog friends. So if you`re interested in me, I will need slow and monitored introductions with any current dogs in the home. I may do best being your only fur-baby; more love for me! Like many dogs in NC, I am currently heartworm positive. OCAS will be helping by beginning my treatment but you`ll need to follow up with your veterinarian! During treatment I will be on an oral medication and will need to get a topical solution monthly until I have a Negative Heartworm Test. If you have any questions about this please ask to speak with a member of the medical staff.
